Whether we realize it or not, every word we speak, every thought we think, and every memory we carry has a specific vibration that makes up the “vibe” of who we are. Furthermore, everything around us has a vibration too, be it a tree, a mosquito, a car or a cell phone.
Every cell of our being is permeated by the complex vibrational patterns we generate and our surrounded by. Some of these vibrations combine and create harmonious patterns; some of these combine as interference patterns that can create feelings of disharmony and dis-ease.
Sound healing is when we use this powerful medium of vibration with the intention to heal, to feel, and to allow sensations of relaxation or stimulation, stillness or movement, harmony and well-being.
If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes.
Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.
